Art+Logic, Southern Auto Auction
This is the new system management software for Southern Auto Auction. The Connecticut-based auto auction company's weekly auction is held every Wednesday for four hours and contains 20 lanes of vehicles. Each week they auction off anywhere from 3,500 to 5,000 vehicles. I was responsible for the UX layout of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Vehicle Transactions, and all corresponding transactions.
Accounts Receivable contains four main page sections: the dealer area where the employee can see informtaion on the dealer/buyer, the Current Credit Item section which highlights whichever charge is selected below, the Purchases section where the employee can scroll and see that dealer's current and previous purchases, and Charges and CRedit, where the employee can see any charges or credits associated with each purchase.
In Accounts Receivable, the employee can apply a payment, unapply a payment, apply a "floorplan" payment which is a type of credit through SAA, add a payment, add a charge, or print/send reports. They can also view more information on the dealer, add comments on the dealer, and view credit with the dealer.
More information on each purchase, charge or credit can be viewed by clicking on the left carat and opening its "drawer." The employee can also click the Floorplan Limits button or the Registration Fee button for certain charge types.
Accounts Payable has only two sections: the dealer area where the employee can see information on the dealer/buyer, and Vehicles Sold. The employee can void a check, edit a charge, or go to the Vehicle Transactions page.
The SAA employee can also view more information on the dealer, add comments on the dealer, and view credit with the dealer. More information on each vehicle sold can be viewed by clicking on the left carat and opening its "drawer."
In Vehicle Transactions, the employee has the option to go directly to any transaction associated with a vehicle.
Here they can edit, delete, export, add a charge, or see information on any transaction.
